Our Assessment: Founded in 1979, Kimber of America swiftly developed a reputation for high-quality rifles, predominantly due to their Model 82 rimfire rifles. The mag has few light marks, in about Fine condition. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.īox, Paperwork & Accessories: Included is a 4-round magazine. Mechanics: The action functions correctly. Overall, this rifle is in about Very Good-Fine condition. There are some spots of discoloration on the bolt. There is a faint hairline scratch on the right of the receiver at the rear. There are a couple of little tiny marks into the finish, most noticeable on the trigger guard. There are some light streaks and faint thinning on the barrel from slightly abrasive cleaning, most noticeable on the left. There are some scattered patches of oxidation, most noticeable on the barrel towards the front. Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 95% of its metal finish. There is some faint surface erosion at the muzzle. Overall, the stock is in about Fine condition.īore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. The plate has light handling marks and a few little spots of oxidation. The LOP measures 13 1/4” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. There are a couple little marks above the toe.
#KIMBER OF OREGON MODEL 82 SERIAL NUMBERS CRACK#
There is a small crack on the top of the wrist at the tang. Some of the most noticeable marks are on the front of the pistol grip and behind the safety. There are a few little compressions and draglines.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is checkered deluxe claro walnut with a capped pistol grip, fluted monte carlo comb, and a checkered steel buttplate. The top of the receiver has a male dovetail to mount rings. Sights / Optics: There is no provision for iron sights.
The underside of the bolt handle is marked “551 / M”. The left of the receiver is marked “M551” and “Kimber MODEL 82”. Markings: The top of the barrel is marked “KIMBER OF OREGON, INC., CLACKAMAS, OREGON.
